The High Country has a nasty ability to throw ANY kind of weather at you.  You could leave in brilliant sunshine and get hit with snow!

Best advise..... prepare for everything!  It's better to carry a jacket and be a bit warm, than not have one and freeze!

If possible, carry a slightly bigger back-pack to accommodate a few extra things, like a change of gloves.  you'll be glad you did when the time comes!

Don't be put off by a bit of rain.  After a long, hot, dry summer, a bit of rain can make those tracks sheer heaven!

Sunday last year was an absolute hoot, made even better by the lack of riders who went out!
